The abomination of desolation in the Book of Daniel and the Gospels

In every generation there are dooms day preachers and self-proclaimed apocalyptic visionaries.

One of the most mysterious prophecies in Scripture concerns the so-called "Abomination of Desolation" spoken of in the Book of Daniel and the Gospels of Matthew and Mark.

There are many who claim to know or have known what or who this prophesy is referring to.  But the fact remains that as Jesus said, "no man knows the day or hour..."  So it seems that to speculate on this mysterious aspect of end times prophecy is somewhat futile if not entirely disingenuous.

Besides, as God's word says, "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day or the hour in which the Son of Man is coming."  Matthew 25:13
Our job in these aspects is to watch and be aware of the times in which we live, not to speculate.
What do you think?

Zachery Tims: Legacies & Rewards

Many were shocked and dismayed by the recent death of Rev. Zachery Tims of New Destiny Community Center in Apopka, Florida.  At the same time, some were of a mind to condemn his life and failures.

Scripture says that we are not to judge another's heart but their actions only.  What the legacy Zachery Tims leaves behind is yet to be seen.  He certainly has the legacy of his four children and the Church he helped build from a handful of people to several thousand followers.  What it will be beyond this now is not up to him but to those who loved him and those he touched in this life.

"If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward."  1 Corinthians 3:14
My prayer is for both.
